great stay at hotel in palencia. staff were helpful, pool was lovely. enjoyed taking walks by the river. Sercotel exceeded my expectations this time!

You advise on the web Parking at this hotel - it has 4 spaces for 93 bedrooms. It really is wrong to say other than no parking available. The alternative was a seriously muddy and flooded building side next door. This hotel should be rated average 3 star not 4 star. The first thing you see enroute from reception to the lists are 4 steps - I assume the architect received an award for this disabled person cock up. They do have a complicated lift platform, but that is no use to use elderly with heavy wheeled baggage. The "restaurant" in the basement was huge, fully lite like a meeting room with TVs on (though not too loud) - no atmosphere at all. Dont bother is my recommendation.

great location, easy parking, helpful staff. enjoyed the set menu at the restaurant, worth every cent. room decor and bathroom could use a refresh, but it did the job for one night. breakfast was okay, but lacking a good continental spread. overall, a nice hotel with a comfortable interior and fantastic pool.

Outdoor appearance was old and tatty.

Stayed on route home due to volcanic ash flight cancellation. Helpful staff, clean hotel and facilities. Proximity to city, ease of car parking.

Limited great choice of food . Swimming pool and gardens not as advertised on website.

It is slightly old-fashioned, however, we appreciated its 70th grandeur.

The accomodation was superb. The room was very large with lovely decor. The outside garden and pool area were well maintained. The hotel location was very good and easily found

I stayed at Sercotel for a wedding in Palencia and the staff went above and beyond to help us. The room was nice, with a fridge, and the pool was fantastic. The hotel is also conveniently located close to town. The service, from the front desk to the bars, was excellent. a great stay.

A good location for visiting the city, and quiet. There were 2 weddings taking place at the hotel, so it was somewhat disorganised and neither the cafe nor the restaurant were functioning normally.

The orange juice served at breakfast was fermenting, and the toaster didn't work properly.

Position - quiet but close to city centre pedestrian area and shops. Spacious room, good value.

Next to no information in room on hotel services. Large political meeting took over hotel on day 2 - guests should be told in advance.

The room at Sercotel Rey Sancho was incredibly spacious and comfortably fit our group of 3. The bathroom was well-equipped with a hairdryer and all the necessary amenities. We loved the free wifi and TV with international channels, which kept us entertained during our downtime. The views of Palencia's old town and the swimming pool were stunning, adding to the overall charm of our stay. As someone who loves being close to the beach, this hotel provided a refreshing change of scenery.

While the room at Sercotel Rey Sancho was fantastic, I personally didn't enjoy the size of the Puente de Hierro room, which was only suitable for banquets and cocktails. Others, however, might still find this feature useful for their needs.

We stayed en route to Madrid from Santander and found the quiet, clean room with a lovely view to the rear was such good value we booked for our return trip 15 days later. On our return they offered us a junior suite but we declined as it was on the front of the hotel facing the road and we wanted the back and view again. They therefore swapped us. Then during the night I was taken very ill and the staff were brilliant. The man on reception got an English speaking doctor then an ambulance and I was in hospital within 15 minutes (the hospital is literally along the same road it turns out!). They gave us free bottled water, free yoghurt when I returned and that was all I could eat. They didn't charge to send a fax to our insurers. All in all excellent service and very cheap price. Didn't include breakfast so can't comment on that as we chose not to have it first time and I was too ill second!! We were able to park free of charge right outside the hotel. Very convenient to walk into town - 3 minutes - for food and shops.

It looks a bit scruffy from the outside and is next to what looks like a derilict site being used for parking. But not a real issue.

A well run modern hotel located close to the city centre. Pleasant staff, good facilities including garage parking. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed one night on our way to Santander and would definitely stay there again.

Sound insulation between bedrooms could be better.
